On 4 April last, the EUPHE meeting was held in Portugal, at the Lusíada University of Lisbon. The meeting was attended by representatives of the following entities: João Redondo, Miguel Copetto and José Manuel Silva, by APESP; Antonio Alonso by AEEN ; Jean-Michel Nicolle, Lamia Rouai, Séverine Messier, Estelle Macabre, by UGEI ; Bertrand Doncieux, by UNFL ; and Klaus Hekking, by VPH. The attendees in the meeting discussed partnerships between institutions, establishing a network of private universities, and improving the scientific exchange. It was also decided in this meeting to hold a EUPHE international congress whit a view for private higher education in a more democratic, free, and stronger Europe.
